ANTI AGING SKIN DETOXIFICATION
Skin cells get clogged with toxins and unless these
are removed, they can impact the cells ability to reproduce
itself correctly. To ensure your skin cells are able to
operate at peak performance to keep those skin anti-aging
elements, elastin and collagen at optimal levels, use
regular detox programs.
Skin disorders are a common symptom that your skin needs
detoxification.
Adding detox foods to your general wellness diet can
be effective in keeping these cumulative toxins at reasonable
levels, but I still recommend a 2 week liver and bowel
cleansing program every six months.
Cleansing can either be done over a longer period with
foods known to have detoxification properties, or you
can use a commercial kit of detox herbs.
There are a number of detox diets that benefit the skin.
- food based diet - a long term diet plan
- raw cleansing foods recommended for 2-3 weeks only
- rapid detox diets for short periods of up to 10-14
days.
There are many versions of these diets, with information
readily available online, so we have only included brief
outlines to give you a general understanding of what each
program entails.
