CARE OF SKIN AROUND THE EYES
Causes of Skin Problems Around the Eyes
There are four main skin aging affects around the eyes.
Let's first examine these and the common causes before
we look at eye creams and treatments that may help prevent
these conditions.
Dark Circles - Blue or gray circles
may be due to allergies or pooling blood. Try DNA Repair
Creme, found at www.ihdistribution.com.
Undereye Puffiness - If you’re
puffy only upon awakening – its likely to be due
to fluid retention. Try sleeping on thicker or more pillows
can prevent liquids from pooling.
If you have been using a new face cream or rubbing your
eyes - this can cause swelling. Use gel that contains
a blood-vessel constrictor, like witch hazel, and an anti-inflammatory,
like chamomile extract, can temporarily reduce irritation.
Home remedy: Mix one drop each of witch hazel, brewed
chamomile tea, and over-the-counter cortisone lotion.
Lay a cucumber slice on top to help the paste penetrate.
If puff is always present - try a concentrated eye repair
cream to reduce puffiness and repair the delicate tissue
around the eye.
Crow’s Feet - When you smile the
muscles around them contract, and a little elasticity
is lost. Combine with sun exposure for 30 years, you’ve
got crow’s feet. DNA Repair Crème, found
at www.ihdistribution.com
Drooping - Most firming creams have
little, if any, effect on sagginess – so this is
a job for cosmetics, strategically applied to define and
visually “lift” the eyes. Find
