ANTI-WRINKLE CREAM
Anti-Oxidant and Repairing Ingredients
R-ALA [Alpha lipoic acid]
R-ALA is natural and non-toxic antioxidant ideal for
those prone to allergic reactions to other types of
skin products. It may work to improve the overall appearance
of the skin, in particular: lines and wrinkles, under
eye bags and puffiness, enlarged pores, acne scars,
sallow or dull skin and rosacea.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is another antioxidant with anti-inflammatory
effects on the skin. It has been shown to improve moisturization,
softness and smoothness and also provides modest photo
protection. Product Examples: Cellex C, Exuviance and
MD Forte.
Co Enzyme Q10
Over the age of 30, levels of CoQ10 in the skin are
below optimum, resulting in lesser ability to produce
collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules.
CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily
penetrate into skin cells to boost skin repair and regeneration
and reduces free radical damage.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is known as the "key to the fountain
of youth.” Like CoQ10, Hyaluronic Acid occurs
naturally in the body and is responsible for cushioning
and lubricating connective tissue. Difficiencies of
HA – which generally comes with age – result
in a long list of abnormalities including wrinkles in
the skin. Studies have shown that supplementation of
HA has an enormous ability to prevent and reverse these
aging abnormalities.
Idebenone
Idebenone - (ee-dee-be-known) – a super-potent
antioxidant, like ubiquinone, found to effectively combat
the signs of aging brought on by factors such as age,
sun damage, and smoking. Idebenone was developed by
the makers of Botox.
Vitamin C Ester
Vitamin C Ester acts as an antioxidant and its ability
to stabilize collagen. Vitamin C Ester is essential
for the production of collagen and is effective in treating
sun damaged inflamed, or irritated skin. Product Examples:
Cellex C, SkinCeuticals, and Obagi Cffectives.
TNS
TNS - tissue repairing complex containing growth factors
found in normal, healthy skin. Product Examples: SkinMedica's
TNS Recovery Complex.
Oils
Oils such as avocado oil and emu oil, the latter having
the smallest molecules enabling it to pass through into
the skins own molecules. For a full list of nourishing
skin oils.
